Obituary

Troy Edward Shaffer, a resident of Porterville, California for 42 years died unexpectedly on June 19, 2022 at the age of 54. Troy is survived by his parents; Gary and Karen Shaffer; his children, Andrea Shaffer, Ivan Shaffer and Nadia Shaffer; his sister, Jill Shaffer; his brother Brian Shaffer and family. He is preceded by his grandparents; Frank and Evelyn Shaffer and Ivan and Elaine Tourville. Troy was born on June 24, 1967 in Fresno Ca. He graduated from Monache High School in 1985. He worked as a fabricator and welder since high school. Troy welcomed three children, two daughters and a son, who were a source of joy for him.

Troy was a fabricator and welder since his high school days. He worked for many years for Chiapa Welding and most recently had his own business making customized burn barrels. Troy was creative and often gifted those he loved with something they had mentioned in passing. And quite often it was something he himself had designed and made.

Celebration of Life will be held for Troy at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
