Obituary

Sixtos G. Duran, 68, of Porterville, formerly of Visalia died Wednesday, June 15, 2022.  He was a farm laborer. He also enjoyed growing and taking care of his lemon and orange trees. Sixtos was born in Michoacan, Mexico on August 6, 1953 to Onorio Duran and Guadalupe Gomez. At age 20, Sixtos immigrated to the Central Valley in California. Survivors include his wife, Rosario Duran, sons; David Duran of Bakersfield; Isaac Duran and Sixtos Duran, Jr. of Tulare; four daughters; Graciela Ontiveros of Visalia; Alma Duran of San Francisco; Marissa Duran of Denver, Colorado; and Vanessa Duran of Porterville. He is also survived by three sisters and three brothers as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm Wednesday June 29, 2022 at Porterville Funeral and Cremation Center where rosary will be recited at 6:00pm.  Mass will be at 11:00am at Holy Cross Catholic Church on Thursday, June 30, 2022. The burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery following Mass.
