Lolita Irene Lowe-Zimmerman was born in Porterville, CA to Herb and Barbara Zimmerman of Ducor on October 17, 1969. She was raised in Ducor and attended Ducor Elementary School and Porterville High School. She was a member of the Ducor 4-H Club and the Porterville FFA. She worked as a nanny for the Castle Family caring for Nicole and Jared. She worked for Porterville Freight Lines and Victor Cruz Trucking. But the job she loved the most was working as a receptionist for Henderson Veterinary Hospital where she assisted with animal care, intake, and paperwork. She was known for her effervescent personality and empathy for pets and their owners. Lolita was an adoring wife to Roy Lowe. They were married in 2009 in Las Vegas Loving mother to Tanner, Micaela, and Christian and she was so very proud of their accomplishments. Her many friends valued her for her incredible sense of humor and contagious laughter. Lolita was diagnosed with cancer and after her diagnosis she fought hard and never let cancer break her spirit. She was honored by a Helping One Woman event that drew a crowd to the Elk’s Club. She was supported by the Cowfolks Care community. She drew most of her strength from the love and support of her many friends and family. She was baptized at St. Anne’s Catholic Church and was sponsored by Pamela Avila.
She is survived by Roy of Porterville, her children Tanner of Arkansas, Micaela of North Carolina, and Christian of San Diego, one grandson Remington, her mother Barbara Zimmerman of Porterville, her Aunt Linda of Ducor, her cousins Donnie, Jim, and Ann Zimmerman, her sister-in-law Lynn, her nieces Heather, Elizabeth, and Claire, her nephews Jonathan, Joseph, and Blake, and a pack of the most incredible friends on the face of the Earth. They were an invaluable support system. Visitation will be at Porterville Funeral and Cremation Center on October 28 th from 5-6pm. The rosary will be recited at 6pm. Services will be held at the Porterville Funeral and Cremation Center on October 29 th at 11am. Following the services, there will be a Celebration of Life/Reception at the Porterville Veteran’s Memorial Building.
