Lena Mae Hubble

Lena Mae Hubble, 86, of Porterville, passed away peacefully on Nov. 28, 2022, at home with her family by her side. Lena was born on Oct. 16, 1936 to parents Lee & Lena Reynolds in Hemet CA. She grew up in Porterville where she went to Porterville High School. She was introduced by friends to Cecil Hubble and they got married on Oct. 2, 1954 with a beautiful garden wedding in Porterville, CA. They were blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.  The two were each other's best friends and lifelong companions.

In 1963, Lena and Cecil opened their first of three hardware stores in Porterville to provide their beloved community with needed supplies & would continue that support for the next 35 years. Lena also loved to sell Mary Kay Cosmetics and prided herself as a homemaker. She loved the Lord and was actively involved with Porterville Church of the Nazarene.  In her free time, Lena loved to paint nature landscapes, garden, and to spoil her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Lena will be remembered for her kind and selfless heart, her ability to love deeply, and her sweet sense of humor. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her.

Lena is preceded in death by parents Lee & Lena Reynolds; siblings Melvin Reynolds, Kathryn Longenfeld, & Velta Egy; & daughter in law Cheryl Hubble.

Lena leaves behind her husband of 68 years, Cecil Hubble; her children, Cheryl Ray, Gerry (Joanne) Hubble, and Bruce Hubble; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Nicole) Hubble, Amanda (Sean) McMahon, Matthew Hubble, Michael (Ashley) Hubble, Aaron (Leighann) Ray, Cheyenne (Matthew) Clements, & Jessie (Jonny) Gutierrez; her great grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Jace, Carson, Amelia, Tessa, David, Abigale, & Julianna Mae; her brother Alton Reynolds; and many beloved friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at the Porterville Church of the Nazarene.
