Helen Karam Landucci was born October 21, 1928, in Utica, N.Y. to Nazira Hobika and Michael
D. Karam. Growing up in her Lebanese family some of her many memories included watching
her father and uncle write Arabic, caring for her family when they were sick, and watching her
mother cook their delicious cultural foods. She was fluent in Arabic and English. Her family
moved to Bakersfield, CA when she was a young teen. Later, she was a devoted wife, mother,
volunteer, and Cub Scout den mother. She was married for 68 years to Freddie Landucci whom
she loved dearly. She was raised in the Catholic church. She and her husband Freddie were
members and attended St. Joseph's Church in Bakersfield for many years. In the winter of 2020
she moved to Porterville, CA where she joined St. John's Anglican Church. She worked as a
Pink Lady volunteer for 26yrs at Kern Medical Center in Bakersfield where she helped patients,
healthcare workers and visitors. Helen always loved volunteering and appreciated the people
with whom she worked. She loved traveling with her husband and children taking them on fun
adventures all around California especially Disneyland. Later, she enjoyed traveling with Freddie
and friends to Las Vegas and Laughlin, NV. We will remember her wonderful homemade
lebanese dishes. We will miss her fearlessness, humor, love, and pride towards her family.
Helen is predeceased by her parents, four brothers (George, Joseph, John, & Louis), her
husband, Freddie L. Landucci, and her son, Mark S. Landucci. She is survived by her children,
Janice Morris (David), Fred Landucci (Allison), Steven Landucci (Laura), and daughter-in-law
Margaret Landucci. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.
