Donald Alvin Noel

Donald Alvin Noel was born in Tulare, California on January 28th, 1945. He peacefully passed at home on October 16, 2022, he was 77. He was the youngest of 9 children born to Delbert Iven Noel and Minnie (Hailey) Noel.

After he graduated from Porterville High School. He joined the military on December 16, 1963. He was enlisted for 2 years where he was trained as armor. He loaded ships in San Jose. After the military he returned back to the Porterville area. He began his career at the Porterville Developmental Center as a psychiatric technician. During his long career of 45 years, he met many lifelong friends. He also met the love of his life Brenda (Cooksey) Noel, his wife of 39 years.

Don enjoyed the outdoors and considered and avid outdoors man. He loved camping, fishing, hunting and traveling. He especially enjoyed spending time with his loved ones and friends.

Donald Noel is survived by his 5 children Matthew Smith, Kristina Noel (Ed Smith), Brady Pritchett (Sadie Pritchett) Tia Noel and Joshua Pritchett.12 Grandchildren Stephanie Harrell (Gary Harrell), Brian Greer, William Pritchett, Jessica Pritchett, Cody Pritchett, Gracie Pritchett, Marissa Vidaurri, Julia Guzman, Olivia Guzman, Adrianna Deleon, Kylie Pritchett and Carlie Pritchett; 6 great grandchildren Mason Hopf, Brody Harrell, Brentlee Harrell, Grayson Harrell, Robert Trujillo, Royce Pritchett and 1 surviving sister Virgina Villanueva.

Proceeded in death by his parents, great-granddaughter Melody Mulki, his siblings Frank Noel, Jerry Noel, Beverly Noel, Shirley Grenfell, Twins Billy and Bobby Noel and Jimmy Noel.

Viewing will be on Monday, October 24, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Porterville Funeral & Cremation Center then to the graveside at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Porterville, California.
