Cameron James Hamilton was born on October 15, 1957, he went home to the lord July 23, 2022, at the age of 64. Cameron was the youngest of three children. He attended Belleview Elementary, Bartlett Junior High and Porterville High School graduating in 1975. Cameron joined the Navy and served his country from 1976 through 1980.
After his Navy career he attended Porterville College and then graduated from Fresno State with a Degree in Accounting.
Cameron “Cam” had many vocations before retiring. He served his community as a city Councilman and Mayor.
He was an active member of the Porterville Church of Nazarene, Parishioner, member of the choir and had a passion for many types of music; rock being his favorite. Cameron was very proud to be a Veteran and loved to honor others who served. His greatest love was for his family and the center of his life. Cameron’s relationships with others were countless. Cameron is proceeded by his father Richard Hamilton, mother Maureen Hamilton, daughter Tanya Hamilton Humphries, first wife Darlene Hamilton. He is survived by his wife Christine Hamilton, sisters Karen Prather, and Melanie Hamilton, son Jack Hamilton and daughter-in-law Christi Hamilton, grandchildren Dale Humphrey, Dana Humphrey, stepchildren Crystal Alonso, Brian Wall, Corinna Wall, and Brianna Wall, 23 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Cameron Hamilton’s, Devotion for God family friends will forever be in remembrance.
